Holy Cow, It's Thursday!
Sunday, had a wonderful visit with the Bob-it's been FAR too long!
Monday, I went to the chiropractor and then picked Richard up from school-he got sick. He has been complaining off and on all week of aches but I think it is just growing pains. Nathan was miserable with them at this age.
Most of the rest of this week we have been cleaning, stacking, planning and storing. My kitchen is nearly organized and the bad, nasty, funky horrid, foul stench that was in the refrigerator we got over the weekend is nearly gone so soon we can move it in. My in-laws had forgotten to remove some of the things from the freezer when the power was turned off to the vacant house. At the time, it had butter and pumpkin in it. Talk about NASTINESS!! It was a newish fridge so worth the major scrubbage we had to put into it. Thanks Bob for the extra elbow grease! I finally bought Arm and Hammer pet scent remover. I figured if it could get rid of cat pee smell....
I have also gotten to use my new stove/ovens. The bottom element in the lower oven is not working, but Shaun said he will hunt one down for me. Otherwise, it is great.
My back is continuing to heal, but I can tell at the end of the day if I have pushed it too far. I will be glad when I can help around here again more.
We now have roughly 6 rick stacked up in the yard and more waiting to be picked up when the ground dries more. The other day, they guys had over a rick of unsplit red oak on the Dodge and it got stuck coming up the hill and broke his tailgate in the process. They had to unload it and then lift the truck out with the tractor. He then backed the Chevy in at the top of the hill and loaded it....then it got stuck in a sinkhole. So....they had to unload it AGAIN! I felt so sorry for them. It's been quite a week, for sure.
We are still making ends meet, since Shaun sold his welder. He was sad to see it go, but with all the rain he has had barely any work. I will be glad when we get past this test. :)
It will all come together-it will all be ok. It always is.
